Job summary

NTT DATA Romania is seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure for data and analytics environments. You will implement IaC with Terraform and ARM templates, automate CI/CD with PowerShell/YAML, and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS services, networking, and security.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions, with opportunities for remote or hybrid work and ongoing certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Informatics or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years DevOps Engineer experience.
• Strong Terraform, YAML and PowerShell scripting.
• Proficient with Azure IaaS and PaaS.
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration.
• Understanding of Azure Policies and redundancy concepts.
• Experience with Azure networking and API Management.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Azure Entra ID.
• Basic SQL proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile in DevOps.
• Azure/DevOps certifications preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code: Use Terraform and ARM templates to automate deployment and management of cloud infra.
• Scripting and Automation: Create scripts in PowerShell and YAML for CI/CD and automation.
• Azure Skills: Manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services for performance and cost.
• Networking: Configure Azure networking, Application Gateways, and Firewalls.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Visualize and monitor infra performance using Azure tools.
• Identity Management: Implement OAuth2/OpenID Connect with Azure Entra ID.
• Policy Management: Enforce Azure Policies for governance.
• Scaling and Redundancy: Design scalable, geo-redundant solutions for high availability.
• Database Management: Basic SQL for app DBs.
• Collaboration: Work with dev and ops for DevOps best practices.
• OnCall availability (if needed).
