Talentmatics is seeking an experienced Senior Azure FinOps & Cloud Optimization Consultant to drive Azure cost optimization, FinOps governance, automation, and cloud financial management across a large Microsoft Azure environment. The role collaborates with Microsoft, Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, Application, Data, and AI teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Cloud/Infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years of FinOps / Cloud Cost Optimization experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management and Azure pricing models.
• Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Resource Graph, Azure Policy, Terraform, Bicep, or APIs.
• Experience with Reservations, Savings Plans, and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure AI/OpenAI cost management.
• Experience implementing or operating a FinOps / Cloud Cost Management platform.
• FinOps certification is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Azure FinOps assessment and optimization roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure FinOps and Cloud Cost Optimization initiatives.
• Analyze Azure spend, consumption patterns, and major cost drivers.
• Optimize Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, PaaS, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure AI/OpenAI.
• Implement automated start/stop scheduling, dynamic scaling, resource cleanup, budget alerts, and anomaly detection.
• Optimize Reservations, Savings Plans, and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
• Drive Microsoft Fabric capacity and Azure AI/OpenAI cost optimization.
• Implement and operationalize FinOps / Cloud Cost Management platforms.
• Establish Azure cost governance, tagging, ownership, budgets, policies, and resource lifecycle controls.
• Partner with Microsoft Azure and FinOps specialists to validate and implement optimization recommendations.
