Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with deep Azure FinOps experience to lead cloud cost management, billing administration, and cost-optimization initiatives. This role sits within the Cloud Native Engineering group and requires hands-on expertise and independent initiative.

The ideal candidate will drive forecasting, budgeting, and governance across Azure services while collaborating with engineering, finance, and procurement teams globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in cloud engineering; at least 3 years in Azure FinOps or cloud cost management.
• Experience with Azure Cost Management + Billing and Azure Advisor.
• Familiarity with IaC tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead FinOps strategy for Azure including cost forecasting and optimization.
• Own Azure billing tasks such as reservations and savings plans.
• Develop dashboards to monitor cloud spend and opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and procurement across geographies.
• Guide teams on cloud cost management best practices.
• Analyze usage patterns and recommend architectural changes for cost efficiency.
