Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Azure DevSecOps Engineer to design and secure large-scale Azure platforms powering enterprise software, data and AI initiatives. You will lead secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and IaC efforts across Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.

You will collaborate with security, platform, and software teams to implement identity, secrets, and vulnerability controls while advancing Foundry, Azure AI, and related cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years supporting production workloads in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building enterprise CI/CD platforms and cloud infra.
• Azure certifications and Foundry/Azure AI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and secure scalable Azure cloud infrastructure for enterprise apps and AI solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve speed, reliability, and security.
• Embed security controls across the SDLC with automated scanning and compliance monitoring.
• Develop IaC solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to enforce IAM, PAM, secrets management, and threat remediation.
• Support Foundry, Azure AI, and related Azure services for AI deployments.
• Establish platform standards, guardrails, and reusable automation for self-service engineering.
• Implement observability, logging, and incident response for platform reliability.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex cloud issues.
