Job summary

TransCore is seeking an Azure Systems Administrator to join our IT/Infrastructure Department in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on managing Azure-based infrastructure across hybrid environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience, strong Azure, networking, virtualization, and security knowledge, plus PowerShell scripting skills. A bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and security within Azure environments.
• Skilled with scripting tools (PowerShell) for automation and system management.
• Familiarity with hybrid environments (on-premises + Azure) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team-oriented mindset.
• Clear, confident communication and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networking, Entra and on prem AD, backups).
• Monitor system performance and availability, ensuring high levels of uptime and security.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot cloud-based and hybrid solutions.
• Maintain documentation and system records.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Adapt to shifting priorities, changing deadlines, and emerging business needs.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for Azure-related issues.
• Participate in planning and executing system upgrades and changes.
