Job summary

Lantern seeks an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to evolve our Azure-based infrastructure, focusing on scalability, automation, and regulatory compliance. You will architect and operate a secure, multi‑region cloud platform supporting healthcare solutions with HIPAA/SOC 2 alignment.

You will collaborate with cloud engineers, security, and product teams, mentor juniors, and help drive cost optimization and disaster recovery planning. Hybrid role in Dallas, TX with on-call duty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 4+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience designing, deploying and managing scalable cloud infra.
• CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Regulated healthcare experience with HIPAA/SOC compliance.
• Security practices for cloud environments (IAM, encryption, logging).
• Strong problem-solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure cloud infra.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, Dev & InfoSec to meet regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform for provisioning Azure resources.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure monitoring, observability, and incident response readiness.
• Contribute to cost optimization and disaster recovery planning.
• Document infrastructure, deployments, and procedures.
• Participate in cross-functional alignment with product and compliance teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote team collaboration.
