Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own and optimize our Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. You will lead cloud infrastructure initiatives, drive automation, and ensure security, compliance, and availability for our aerospace and defense operations.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on with Azure, hybrid cloud, identity management, and networking, and will collaborate with IT teams to implement scalable solutions and governance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

5+ years of IT infrastructure or cloud administration experience.
3+ years hands-on with Microsoft Azure environments.
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Knowledge of cloud networking, VPNs, firewalls, DNS.
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize Azure resources including VMs, networking, storage, and backups.
Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online and Teams.
Support security controls and regulatory compliance (CMMC, NIST 800-171).
Configure monitoring, alerting, and reporting with Azure Monitor and related tools.
Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity.
Manage cloud networking, VPNs, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
Develop automation with PowerShell and IaC (Terraform, Bicep).
Provide technical leadership and mentor IT staff.
