Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and secure scalable Azure environments in New York. You will automate provisioning with IaC, manage networks, compute, storage, and PaaS services, and collaborate with development, security, and operations teams.

The role demands strong scripting, IaC tooling, and solid networking knowledge, plus a proactive approach to reliability, cost, and governance. AZ-104 or AZ-305 are preferred certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering, including at least 3 years of hands-on work designing and supporting production workloads in Azure.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python), plus experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, AKS).
• Solid understanding of networking (VNets, VPN/ExpressRoute, DNS, load balancing), identity management, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure Azure infrastructure including VNets, compute, storage, and PaaS services.
• Automate provisioning and deployments using IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
• Enforce cloud security, identity, governance with Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and network controls.
• Monitor performance, cost, and reliability with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; troubleshoot incidents and optimize with cross-functional teams.
