Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer (Azure) to design, deploy, secure, and optimize Azure infrastructure for federal customers in a remote setting.

The role requires active Secret clearance, 5+ years of cloud/DevOps experience, and hands-on Azure engineering, IaC, and automation using Terraform, PowerShell, and ARM templates. It offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• 3+ years Microsoft Azure engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Terraform / IaC.
• 3+ years building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, Managed Disks, and Azure Active Directory.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives and enterprise infrastructure optimization.
• Automate cloud provisioning and configuration using Terraform, ARM Templates, and Ansible.
• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Create reusable infrastructure templates and deployment frameworks.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Support automated deployments, testing, and release management processes.
• Implement Azure security best practices including RBAC, Defender for Cloud, DDoS Protection, and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD security requirements.
• Support vulnerability remediation and security monitoring efforts.
• Monitor environments with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize performance.
• Configure and manage Azure networking (VNets, DNS, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, App Gateway).
• Support hybrid-cloud integrations and migrations using Azure Migrate, Azure Arc, and Site Recovery.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup and lifecycle policies.
• Partner with DevOps, Security, Engineering, and Government stakeholders for Azure architecture and operations.
