Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, secure, and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure for federal customers. The role emphasizes IaC, DevOps, and compliance with FedRAMP/NIST/DoD, with a focus on hybrid-cloud and secure architectures. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance and be willing to work on a W2 basis.

The position is remote, permanent, and offers a competitive salary of $140,000–$160,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps/Systems Administration or related fields.
• 3+ years hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• 3+ years building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub, and Ansible.
• Experience supporting hybrid-cloud and on-premises integrations.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking (VNets, DNS, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, App Gateway).
• Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, and JSON.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure virtual networks, SQL Database, Blob Storage, and AD.
• Automate cloud provisioning and configuration using IaC tools.
• Develop automation solutions using scripting languages.
• Create reusable deployment templates and frameworks.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
• Implement Azure security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Support vulnerability remediation and security monitoring.
• Configure and manage Azure networking and hybrid-cloud migrations.
