Job summary

Brown Rudnick LLP seeks an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our Microsoft Azure environment supporting critical legal apps and data. This role emphasizes hybrid cloud integration, security controls, and cost-efficient operations across firm-wide platforms.

You will manage Azure AD, DR planning, and infrastructure automation with ARM, Bicep, Terraform, and scripting, collaborating with Security and IT teams to ensure high availability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
• 7+ years of engineering experience supporting large-scale infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Azure certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Strong experience with Azure architecture (compute, networking, identity, governance).
• Experience managing hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises systems with Azure.
• Familiarity with legal tech cloud services and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the firm’s Azure cloud infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Manage hybrid cloud environments by integrating Azure with on-premises systems and legal apps.
• Administer Azure AD, identity governance, and secure access configurations.
• Implement cloud security controls aligned with industry standards and firm policies.
• Deploy and support Azure VMs, networking, storage, and DR solutions.
• Automate deployments using ARM, Bicep, Terraform and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash).
• Monitor performance, availability, and cost with Azure management tools.
• Support cloud-hosted legal platforms ensuring high availability of essential systems.
• Collaborate with Security and IT teams to ensure stable operations.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity testing.
• Assist with vendor coordination and cloud governance responses to audits.
• Engineer and support RHEL workloads in Azure, including patching and tuning.
