Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation seeks a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Azure-based solutions. This hybrid role at our Rosemont, IL HQ focuses on automation, governance, and modernization, mentoring the cloud team while delivering secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities include implementing IaC with Terraform/Bicep, managing Azure resources, and supporting deployments via Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, administering, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure services (VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, Storage, PaaS).
• Experience with IaC using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python).
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, cloud security, governance and compliance.
• Ability to collaborate across technical teams while mentoring others.
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or comparable).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Azure VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, and Storage Accounts.
• Implement and manage Azure PaaS offerings.
• Monitor resource utilization and optimize performance and costs.
• Enforce Azure security best practices and governance standards.
• Administer Azure AD, RBAC, and identity access management.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform/Bicep.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Automate with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Python.
• Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for Azure incidents and on-call rotations.
• Implement backup and recovery using Azure Backup/ Site Recovery.
