Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure. You will join the IT Infrastructure Operations team, partner with the Cloud Architect, and drive automation, governance, and modernization initiatives.

The role requires hands-on Azure engineering, IaC, DevOps automation, and leadership to mentor team members and mature internal cloud capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, administering, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Proficiency with IaC using Terraform and/or Bicep and automation scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, RBAC, and compliance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and manage Azure VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, and Storage.
• Develop IaC and CI/CD pipelines with DevOps tooling.
• Mentor cloud and Microsoft 365 staff to strengthen capabilities.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and participate in on-call rotations.
