Job summary

Handy Finance, an Australian fintech expanding into the United States, seeks a Senior Azure Cloud / Backend Developer in Dallas, TX. You will lead design and development of cloud-native backend platforms powering lending products, collaborating with engineers and leadership to build scalable, secure solutions.

You will design and implement RESTful APIs, manage Azure infrastructure, and drive CI/CD practices while mentoring peers and guiding technical direction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience building RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Functions, Storage, SQL, etc).
• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of IaC (Bicep, ARM Templates, or Terraform).
• Experience designing scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong cloud security and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using C# .NET and cloud-native architecture.
• Build secure, high-performance REST APIs for web and mobile usage.
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Develop event-driven and microservices-based, resilient systems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and security of apps.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and product teams to deliver software.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term improvements.
• Contribute to engineering standards and cloud infrastructure evolution.
