Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a collaborative AWS Systems Engineer to support our AWS Cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational tasks within our Nursing Health Education domain. You will work with product and engineering teams on deployment, troubleshooting, and automation initiatives.

The role emphasizes scalable architectures, documentation, and process improvements, with a US base pay range and eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps tasks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS; foundational understanding of cloud and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Scripting in Python or Go.
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Helm, or ArgoCD.
• Proactive approach to automating repetitive tasks and processes.
• Proficiency with Linux system administration and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting (AWS).
• Assist in automating operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to scalable, resilient application architectures.
• Support documentation and operational procedures for best practices.
