Job summary

Elsevier is seeking an AWS Systems Engineer III to join a mission-driven global organization. You will support AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational tasks in collaboration with product and engineering teams to drive deployment, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

You will work with a collaborative team ensuring scalable, resilient cloud architectures, IaC with Terraform, Kubernetes-based deployments, and CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps tasks.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS) and foundational Cloud/DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Scripting in Python or Go.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, or ArgoCD.
• Proactive approach to automating repetitive tasks and operational workflows.
• Proficiency with Linux systems, including system administration and CI tools like Github Actions.

About the role; As a Systems Engineer III will support our AWS Cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational tasks. Working in partnership with product and engineering teams, this role involves supporting deployment, troubleshooting, and automation initiatives, contributing to live products, and supporting process improvements.

About the team -This collaborative team of AWS Systems Engineers is entrusted with ensuring all products within our Nurssing Health Education domain are flawlessly scaled with our AWS Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting cloud infrastructure deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a cloud environment (AWS).
• Assisting in automating operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Contributing to the implementation of scalable, resilient application architectures.
• Supporting documentation and operational procedures to ensure best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Supporting process improvements and automation efforts.

• Have support and troubleshooting skills in cloud and containerized environments.
• Possess a proactive approach to automating repetitive tasks and operational workflows.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems, including system administration, command-line tools, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with continuous integration tools like Github Actions.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $71,600 - $119,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
