Job summary

The Hiring Group in Greenville, SC seeks a Senior AWS Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable business-critical applications on a modern AWS/TypeScript stack. You will collaborate with product, UX/UI, data partners, and other developers to deliver reliable, secure software solutions.

The role combines on-site and hybrid work, requires 40 hours per week, and offers mentorship and technical leadership across 7–35 team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Extensive AWS experience, designing and deploying scalable applications.
• Experience with automated testing using Playwright, Jenkins, Zephyr, and JMeter.
• Proficiency with Linux CLI and scripting (Python, SQL) and data tools like Databricks, Power BI, Grafana.
• Strong collaboration, ownership mentality, and ability to mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS.
• Maintain scalable, secure, and reliable code; improve performance.
• Troubleshoot frontend, backend, and data issues; provide documentation.
• Develop testing strategies with Playwright; support CI pipelines.
• Build data pipelines and dashboards with Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Grafana.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate with product owners and data partners to translate requirements.
