Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role based in Durham, NC. You will work across the stack, crafting Angular frontends and TypeScript/Node.js backends, while leveraging AWS services to deliver cloud-native solutions.

The role emphasizes modern UI with dashboards, data pipelines, and scalable services, with ongoing CI/CD, testing, and collaboration across engineering, product, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript in both frontend and backend development.
• Professional experience with Angular v14+; experience with standalone components or signals-based Angular v17+ is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, IAM, S3, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably AWS CDK or similar tools.
• Experience working with relational databases and ORMs such as Sequelize, TypeORM, or Prisma.
• Practical understanding of caching concepts and tools such as Redis or ElastiCache.
• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Proficient with Git/GitHub workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience writing automated tests for frontend and backend applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Angular applications, including dashboards, administrative tools, and customer-facing user interfaces.
• Develop backend services using TypeScript/Node.js and AWS Lambda.
• Write and maintain AWS CDK infrastructure code to support scalable, repeatable deployments.
• Work with event-driven and data-oriented services, including Kinesis streams, RDS/Sequelize, and ElastiCache/Redis.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy for Angular and Lambda deployments.
• Implement observability and troubleshooting capabilities using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and related tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and operations teams through Git/GitHub workflows, pull requests, and code reviews.
