Job summary

System One in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior AWS Python Developer on a contract-to-hire basis to design, build, and maintain Python applications and data solutions supporting Financial Crimes initiatives.

You will work onsite with engineering, data, and business teams, leverage AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, ECS/EKS, Redshift), and drive CI/CD, security, and production support for large datasets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong practical experience developing and supporting solutions in AWS.
• Experience with key AWS services, particularly Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, and CloudWatch.
• Strong SQL skills, including querying and working with large datasets.
• Experience with data engineering, data processing, or data-intensive applications.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift.
• Familiarity with container technologies and services such as ECS and/or EKS.
• Understanding of AWS security services and practices, including IAM and Secrets Manager.
• Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
• Financial Services or Financial Crimes technology experience is beneficial but is not mandatory.
