Job summary

System One seeks a Senior AWS IAM & Data Engineer in Lafayette, LA, delivering identity and data solutions in a hybrid on-site/remote setup for a large financial services environment.

Responsibilities include configuring AWS Identity Center, building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines with Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena, and automating cloud workflows with Python, Terraform, or CloudFormation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with AWS IAM Identity Center, including permission sets, account assignments, identity federation, and enterprise identity integrations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, roles, policies, trust policies, permission boundaries, and cross-account access troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/data pipelines with AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, or similar technologies.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, analyzing datasets, troubleshooting data issues, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting for automation of cloud, IAM, and data workflows.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of enterprise identity federation and integration patterns across AWS accounts and services.
• Ability to independently evaluate technical options and produce high-quality code and automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills working with security, cloud, data, and application teams.
• Financial services or highly regulated enterprise experience is a plus.
