Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior DevOps/platform engineer to own CI/CD pipelines for ETL and data platforms on AWS. You will manage cloud infrastructure with CloudFormation, MWAA, and AWS services, embedding security gates and automating data workflows.

Responsibilities include release management, incident response, and cost/performance optimization, with a focus on Zero Trust and secure software supply chains in regulated contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 4 additional years of related experience.
• 8+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or similar roles.
• Hands-on with AWS cloud environments and services listed in requirements.
• Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines in regulated environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and serverless patterns.
• Strong Python and Linux scripting.
• Ability to operate under Zero Trust and secure software supply chain guidance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer CI/CD pipelines for ETL and data platform deliverables.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using IaC and Immutable Architecture across dev/staging/production.
• Embed quality and security gates at CI/CD decision points and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Automate data retrieval and ingestion jobs with MWAA, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SNS, SQS.
• Support release management, Change Requests, documentation, rollback procedures, and project closeout.
• Maintain operations with monitoring, logging, alerting, and compliance with ATO/NIST 800-53.
• Optimize cloud costs and performance; support disaster recovery and pre-prod data loads.
• Provide on-call support and post-incident remediation as part of a rotation.
• Leverage AI tools to improve automation while ensuring security and performance.
