Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to lead security, reliability, and automation initiatives across our cloud infrastructure. The role emphasizes AWS IaC, container orchestration, and improving developer experiences with refined tools and processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to harden security, optimize costs, and enhance observability while participating in on-call rotations and security reviews of vendors and services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing production workloads in containerized environments.
• 5+ years implementing AWS via IaC with a strong emphasis on security.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes/ECS, NGINX, and Python/Go/Ruby.
• Solid understanding of relational databases.
• Familiarity with SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch).
• Commitment to continuous improvement and learning new stacks.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and proactively solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to projects focused on security, reliability, release processes, developer experience, cost optimization, and observability.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and People teams to tackle security challenges in infrastructure, CI pipelines, applications, endpoint security, AI workloads, and enterprise security.
• Lead and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and compliance initiatives.
• Participate in security reviews of third-party vendors and services.
• Improve developer experiences by refining tools, workflows, and AI usage.
• Contribute to on-call rotations.
