Job summary

Precise Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate, and support cloud infrastructure within AWS for a large federal modernization program.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on AWS experience, cloud networking, automation, security, monitoring, and deployment pipelines, and must be able to obtain a Public Trust background investigation. This position is contingent upon a contract award.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or related experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical applications.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting AWS infrastructure.
• Strong experience with IAM, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB, Auto Scaling.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Understanding of cloud security principles and least-privilege access.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications.
• Provision and manage Development, Test, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
• Design scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant AWS architectures.
• Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, VPC, ELB, Auto Scaling, S3, RDS, EFS, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, KMS, IAM, Certificate Manager).
• Support containerized workloads with ECS, EKS, or equivalent.
• Develop and enforce infrastructure patterns and standards across environments.
• Design and manage VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and network ACLs.
• Implement IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Integrate infrastructure deployment into CI/CD pipelines and automation.
