Job summary

Entarian is seeking a skilled AWS DevSecOps Engineer to support NIWC Atlantic's E2S2 division. The role blends cloud security architecture, DevSecOps automation, and advanced network security in AWS.

You will design secure cloud architectures, embed security checks into CI/CD, and automate tasks to reduce manual security work. Collaboration with software teams is essential to achieve scalable, compliant, and resilient systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program with 7+ years IT experience.
• 3+ years AWS Cloud Security/DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• Hands-on with AWS firewalls, NGFWs, IDS/IPS, and advanced network security.
• Strong automation mindset with guardrails, auto-remediation, or security tooling.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Know AWS core services: EC2, VPC, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps pipelines for CI/CD, monitoring, and automated security testing.
• Embed SAST/DAST/SCA and compliance checks into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Automate security workflows using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Create automated incident response playbooks and threat detection routines.
• Manage CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Jira, Artifactory, SonarQube.
• Design secure, scalable AWS architectures with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Implement policy-as-code to prevent misconfigurations before deployment.
• Build container workloads on ECS/EKS and automate container vulnerability mgmt.
