Job summary

Millennium is seeking a Remote AWS DevOps Engineer to support NIWC Atlantic E2S2. The role focuses on designing, optimizing, and sustaining AWS cloud environments for the Marine Corps IT systems within a fast-paced, government-contracted environment.

An active Secret clearance is required. The engineer will work across IT, security, and project teams to ensure performance, security, and compliance while mentoring junior staff and documenting architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• ABET-accredited BS in a technical field or higher
• 10+ years of software or network engineering with a Master's; 14+ with a Bachelor's
• Experience designing, developing, maintaining software, network solutions, and apps
• Current CompTIA Security+ and Agile Developer or CSD certifications

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain high-performance AWS environments using IaC and automation
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues for government-contracted environments
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders, developers, security analysts, and PMs to align infra with goals
• Lead automation initiatives and mentor junior engineers
• Create and maintain architecture, automation, and compliance documentation
