Job summary

Millennium is hiring a remote AWS DevOps Engineer to support NIWC Atlantic's E2S2 division. The role focuses on AWS cloud environments, IaC automation, and ensuring high performance, security, and availability in a government-contracted setting. Requires an active Secret Security Clearance and strong engineering background.

The engineer will bridge infrastructure management with federal compliance, collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems (ABET-accredited).
• 10+ years with a Master's or 14+ years with a Bachelor's in software or network engineering.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software, network solutions, and specialized applications.
• Current CompTIA Security+ and Agile Developer or CSD certifications.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain performance and availability of AWS environments using IaC and automation.
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues and support cloud-related hurdles.
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders, developers, security analysts, and project managers to align infrastructure with goals.
• Lead automation initiatives and mentor junior staff.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture decisions, automation processes, and compliance artifacts.
