Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for a 100% remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. This full-time position requires 8+ years of system administration experience with cloud and on-premises environments and a Public Trust (MBI) clearance.

Candidates should be proficient in Windows and Linux, AWS services, IaC tools, security best practices, and capable of leading complex deployments. U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in system administration.
• Experience managing AWS environments and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• U.S. Citizenship and Public Trust (MBI) eligibility required.

Responsabilités

• Perform high-level, day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upgrades of complex OS and server hardware.
• Coordinate and perform software installations and upgrades across environments.
• Develop and implement SOPs and schedules for IT operations.
• Monitor and tune systems for optimum performance and reliability.
• Ensure data recovery through backups and archiving strategies.
• Collaborate with Network and System Analysts on system designs and deployments.
