Job summary

3M is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AWS Cloud to join the Platform Engineering, Developer Services team in a global capacity. This on-site role supports Maplewood, MN and Austin, TX with 4+ days on site per week.

You will help deliver cloud applications and a governed AI-augmented software delivery platform. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AWS cloud-native full-stack development (Typescript/Python), IaC, and DevOps practices, and will mentor engineers while shaping secure cloud

Qualifications

8 years IT experience with HS diploma or 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
5 years of full‑stack AWS Cloud Native development using Typescript/Python.
Experience with IaC, CloudFormation, and cloud security patterns.

Responsibilities

Leadership: independently lead large programs and coordinate across organizations.
Architecture: create and maintain enterprise reference architecture and patterns.
Software Development: build and maintain applications and AI-augmented delivery platform.
Mentor: coach engineers on architecture, cloud patterns, security, and cost management.
