Job summary

Random Bit is seeking a Senior AWS Solution Architect to lead cloud-native design on AWS. You will develop prototypes, set architecture patterns, and guide development teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding in Python and JavaScript, deep AWS services experience (Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC), and collaboration with cross-functional teams while complying with PHI/PII safeguards. Remote; EST hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Experience with AWS services including Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch/CloudTrail, CodeCommit, EC2, SNS, SQS, KMS, VPC, IAM.
• Strong understanding of OO design, software design patterns, and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer 100% AWS cloud-native application components.
• Develop solution prototypes to demonstrate suitability and interoperability of chosen components, and to establish patterns for adoption by development team members.
• In the context of solution prototypes, write high-quality, efficient code in Python and JavaScript without guidance.
• Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to development team members.
• Provide AWS cloud-native subject-matter expertise to developers.
• Conduct code reviews and feedback on implementation patterns.
• Capture implementation patterns into development standard and architecture best practices, as needed.
