Job summary

Peraton is seeking an AWS Cloud Migration Engineer to migrate critical data flows into secure AWS environments. You will leverage GitLab for CI/CD, Terraform for IaC, and AWS services to design scalable cloud solutions.

You will work with teams across the organization to ensure secure, reliable data movement in a federal context. The role involves leading cloud migration initiatives, implementing IaC, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet critical objectives within an agile framework.

Qualifications

• Experience with message/file transfer tools using Axway Secure Transport.
• Experience with GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging in the cloud (CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
• Scripting experience (Shell, Python) for configurations and deployments.
• Automating deployments with services like Lambda, EC2, EKS.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TLS/SSL, certificates)
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain agency clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of migrating and maintaining large complex data flows to modern cloud environments using AWS.
• Support and integrate COTS file transfer and MQ services into AWS architecture.
• Write clean infrastructure-as-code using Python, Ansible, CloudFormation or CDK.
• Develop and support infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot, tune performance, and document AWS environments and deployed solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
