Job summary

ActioNet, Inc. seeks a Cloud Engineer to lead migration of on-premises systems to AWS, build scalable cloud-native data analytics platforms, and automate deployments. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and operations to design secure, automated, and scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes AWS migration, containerized platforms, IaC using Terraform/CloudFormation, and DevOps practices, with a focus on data processing pipelines and web analytics apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, or a related field, with significant experience in AWS environments.
• 5+ years of AWS cloud migration experience, including understanding of application architecture, dependencies, modernization strategies, and migration from on-premises environments to AWS.
• 5+ years of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience, including automation and scripting with Bash, Python, and Groovy.
• 3+ years of containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts, including deployment and management of both stateful and stateless applications.
• 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture, networking, security, scalability, availability, and cost optimization.
• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cloud readiness assessments and develop migration strategies for transitioning applications to AWS.
• Analyze architectures and recommend cloud-native modernization and migration approaches.
• Design, build, and deploy scalable AWS cloud solutions using EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Develop and manage IaC using Terraform and/or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and deployment.
• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
• Develop and manage Kubernetes-based deployments, including Helm chart development and upgrades.
• Implement and support externalized platform services such as Cassandra, OpenSearch, Hazelcast, Kafka, and MSK.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and production releases.
• Develop DevOps automation and deployment scripts using Bash, Python, and Groovy.
• Support large-scale data processing and ETL workloads with AWS technologies.
• Assist with database architecture, capacity planning, and operations for scalable data platforms.
