Job summary

Altera is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Architect to lead design, implementation, optimization, and operation of AWS cloud infrastructure for enterprise applications and semiconductor workloads.

You will build highly available, scalable solutions, automate environments with Terraform and CI/CD, and ensure security, reliability, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced hybrid architecture. Strong HPC storage support is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field; 8+ years in infrastructure/cloud engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS infrastructure engineering and production operations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, compute, storage, identity, security, and monitoring.
• Hands-on Terraform and infrastructure as code experience; scripting in Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure across accounts and environments.
• Develop IaC with Terraform and automated environment deployments.
• Own AWS operations, monitoring, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
• Implement zero-trust, least-privilege security and IAM governance.
• Partner with semiconductor engineering teams to optimize compute and storage for HPC workloads.
• Lead cost optimization initiatives and build cost dashboards.
