Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC is seeking an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to support the USAF Cloud One architecture. The role is hybrid remote, requiring onsite work near Hanscom AFB, Boston, MA.

The ideal candidate will lead cloud operations, security, and DevSecOps, mentoring teams across engineering, security, and management to deliver scalable cloud solutions. The position demands deep expertise in AWS, cloud networking, IAM, and compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of experience (Bachelors) or 10+ years with Masters.
• Secret clearance required.
• US citizenship required.
• Experience with cloud operations, sustainment and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with IAM, security monitoring, and cloud networking controls.
• Ability to design, implement and maintain secure cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain scalable, secure AWS cloud solutions.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, IaC, and automation frameworks.
• Design and sustain secure cloud networks with zero-trust principles.
• Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and other regs.
• Mentor teams and work across development, operations, security, and product management.
• Containerize applications and support Shared Services development.
• Manage CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole.
