Science and Engineering Services, LLC seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to support Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Shared Services. The role is hybrid remote; onsite as needed near Hanscom AFB, Boston, MA.

You will design, implement, and secure scalable cloud solutions, mentor teams, and drive DevSecOps practices using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and more. Candidates should bring 12+ years in cloud engineering, security credentials, and US

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of experience, or Master's with 10+ years.
• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship required.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in cloud operations and sustainment in cloud environments.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and support DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable cloud-native solutions and ensure best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security.
• Hands-on role: architect, code, debug, and mentor.
• Perform cloud operations and engineering tasks to sustain scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions.
• Utilize CI/CD workflows and infrastructure‑as‑code development using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole.
• Containerize applications to enhance scalability and deployment efficiency.
• Design and develop Shared Services and maintain cloud networking security controls.
• Maintain SQL and NoSQL databases and document processes.
• Work in cross‑functional teams including development, operations, security, and product management.
