Job summary

SES Corporation seeks an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to design and operate scalable cloud-native solutions for the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture. The role is hybrid remote, with onsite work at Hanscom AFB, Boston, MA as needed.

Candidates must have a Secret clearance, US citizenship, and strong DevSecOps, IaC, and security skills across multiple cloud platforms. You will implement zero-trust architectures, manage IAM and security monitoring, and integrate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with the required years of experience; 12+ yrs for Bachelor’s or 10+ yrs for Master’s preferred.
• Secret clearance required; US citizenship required.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2) certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams to execute tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable cloud-native solutions across AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Perform cloud operations, sustainment, and maintenance to optimize cloud performance.
• Adopt DevSecOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks.
• Design secure cloud architectures and networks with zero-trust and defense‑in‑depth.
• Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and regulatory requirements.
• Implement cloud networking security controls including STIGs.
• Manage IAM solutions and security monitoring frameworks.
• Support migration methodologies with minimal disruption.
• Leverage CI/CD and IaC with Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, Guacamole.
• Containerize applications to improve scalability and deployment efficiency.
• Support Shared Services design and development; troubleshoot cloud systems.
