Job summary

BCforward is seeking an AWS Cloud & AI Platform Engineer II to enable and advance enterprise AI and machine learning capabilities within a secure, governed, and scalable environment across the Bank.

The role focuses on designing and maintaining AI enablement environments on AWS, leveraging Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and API Gateway to deliver scalable, compliant AI solutions for enterprise use cases and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in cloud platform engineering or enterprise AI enablement.
• Experience enabling AI/ML and Generative AI on AWS.
• Hands-on AWS platform services, IaC, DevOps, and enablement frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python; SQL, APIs, automation scripting, and cloud integration.
• Security, governance, risk, and compliance for cloud/AI ops.
• Experience with Bedrock, SageMaker, Lex, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudWatch.
• CI/CD with Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub.
• Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, and enterprise AI integration.
• Design reusable frameworks, architectures, guardrails, and governance.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Enable secure, governed, and scalable AI/GenAI platform capabilities.
• Design, implement, and maintain AI enablement environments and patterns.
• Architect and maintain AWS AI platform infra and shared services.
• Enable AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, risk, data, and business teams.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies for enterprise use cases.
• Establish AI platform standards, guardrails, and governance.
• Integrate data sources and enterprise platforms for scalable delivery.
• Create documentation and governance artifacts for AI enablement.
• Lead technical exploration and evaluations to improve capabilities.
• Develop governance frameworks for model validation and monitoring.
• Work with agile squads to deliver enterprise AI capabilities.
• Deliver platform enablement for defined product areas with ownership.
