Job summary

Nusenda Credit Union in Albuquerque, NM seeks an AVP of Construction Loan Administration to lead underwriting, documentation, draw processing and project monitoring for residential homebuilder and commercial construction lending.

You will manage credit risk for the residential homebuilder portfolio, coordinate with the VP Business Services, and help develop processes to drive efficiency and growth.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years of similar or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activity of the Construction Loan Administration department, assign duties, monitor workload, and plan improvements.
• Provide oversight of underwriting, origination, draw processing, and project monitoring for commercial construction loans.
• Oversee residential homebuilder portfolio credit risk and ensure compliant loan structures.
• Monitor market trends using IBISWorld, CoStar, and industry publications.
• Review and approve exceptions in processing and funding of construction loan draws with VP input.
• Monitor, analyze, and report portfolio performance, risk, and profitability to senior management.
