Job summary

Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Compliance & Operational Risk to lead the enterprise-wide risk framework. The role partners with technology, lending, operations, and senior management to identify, assess, monitor, mitigate, and report risks affecting members and the organization.

The ideal candidate provides strong regulatory knowledge, leadership, and strategic risk oversight to promote a culture of compliance, resiliency, and accountability across the credit

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Massachusetts State Bar.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, risk management, compliance, criminal justice, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, compliance, audit, lending, operations, finance, or regulatory oversight; credit union experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of federal (NCUA) and State (MA DOB) requirements, BSA/AML, consumer compliance, privacy, vendor management, cybersecurity risk, and business continuity.
• Experience interacting with regulators, external auditors, internal auditors, executive management, and Board-level committees; or equivalent mix of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide compliance and risk oversight aligned with laws and regulations.
• Lead and collaborate with business units to interpret regulatory requirements and ensure policy adherence.
• Coordinate testing, monitoring, and corrective actions for regulatory compliance.
• Manage third‑party risk, due diligence, and contracts review with legal and vendors.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and documentation requests.
• Develop and maintain risk assessments, controls inventories, issue tracking, and reporting to leadership and Board.
