Job summary

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center seeks an AVP/ACNO for Ambulatory Services to lead nursing practice, quality, and workforce excellence across ambulatory lines. You will partner with executive leaders to set strategic direction and ensure delivery of patient-centered, evidence-based care.

You will oversee clinical programs, staffing, budgeting, and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes, safety, and value in outpatient settings, in a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related discipline. If Master's degree is not in Nursing, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Experience: At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a large, complex health care system.
• Preferred: Academic medical center experience; multisite ambulatory networks; Magnet experience; advanced leadership certifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and articulate strategic nursing direction for ambulatory nursing practice.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors and Operations Directors to optimize patient care delivery.
• Lead staffing, workforce planning, and Magnet-driven initiatives across ambulatory clinics.
• Ensure alignment with mission, vision, and values of the ambulatory enterprise.
• Guide budget development and resource utilization for assigned clinics and programs.
• Promote evidence-based practice and continual quality improvement.
