Job summary

Wilton Re, a leading life (re)insurance specialist, seeks an AVP, Accounting Policy in Norwalk, CT to lead technical accounting research and policy development for US GAAP and Statutory guidance. You will partner with finance leaders to ensure financial reporting quality, support annual statements, and guide implementation of new accounting standards in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in life insurance/reinsurance accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and document technical accounting research and policy.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements (US GAAP/Statutory).
• Support preparation of US GAAP and statutory financial statements.
• Collaborate with finance partners to ensure financial reporting integrity.
• Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and internal audit readiness.
