Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited seeks an experienced Avionics System and Software Verification & Validation engineer in Texas. The role focuses on C programming, HSIT, and applying DO-178B/C standards within the software lifecycle.

You will perform hardware-software integration testing using test benches and simulators, develop test cases, analyze requirements, and work with ARINC 429 and other HSIT protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (minimum).
• More than 5 years of experience in Avionics System and Software Verification & Validation (V&V).

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in Hardware-Software Integration Testing (HSIT) with test benches and simulators.
• Strong programming knowledge in C with excellent debugging skills. HSIT is a must.
• Strong knowledge of Flight Instrumentation systems.
• Proven ability to analyze system and software requirements to create comprehensive test strategies.
• Expertise in developing, reviewing, and executing system/software test cases and procedures.
• Experience in data transfer protocols such as ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, UART, and SPI.
• Hands-on experience with DO-178B/C standards and Software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience using verification tools such as RTRT.
• Skilled in testing of TSO/MOPs requirements and create test plan and test results.
• Understanding the system requirements and technical challenges and provides the resolution.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and Problem Report (PR) management processes.
