Job summary

VDart Inc in Fort Worth, TX seeks an experienced avionics verification and validation engineer specializing in HSIT and software testing. You will work with test benches and simulators, writing robust C code, and applying DO-178B/C standards across the lifecycle.

You will analyze requirements, develop test cases, and validate data protocols like ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232/422, UART, and SPI, ensuring traceability and defect handling.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years of experience in Avionics System and Software Verification & Validation (V&V).
• Extensive experience in Hardware-Software Integration Testing (HSIT) using test benches and simulators.
• Strong programming knowledge in C with excellent debugging skills.
• Strong knowledge of Flight Instrumentation systems.
• Proven ability to analyze system and software requirements to create comprehensive test strategies.
• Expertise in developing, reviewing, and executing system/software test cases and procedures.
• Experience in data transfer protocols such as ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, UART, and SPI.
• Hands-on experience with DO-178B/C standards and Software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience using verification tools such as RTRT.
• Skilled in testing of TSO/MOPs requirements and create test plan and test results.
• Understanding the system requirements and technical challenges and provides the resolution.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and Problem Report (PR) management processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSIT test strategies and test plans.
• Create, review, and execute system and software test cases.
• Validate data transfer protocols and interface tests across ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232/422, UART, and SPI.
• Apply DO-178B/C standards during V&V activities and lifecycle processes.
• Utilize RTRT and other verification tools to assess test results and traceability.
• Analyze requirements to identify test coverage gaps and risks and provide resolutions.
