Job summary

TechDigital Group seeks an experienced avionics V&V engineer to join the team in Texas. The role focuses on hardware-software integration testing, developing robust test strategies, and executing comprehensive test cases for flight instrumentation systems.

You will work with C programming, DO-178B/C standards, and verification tools like RTRT to ensure quality across the SDLC. Strong analytical and debugging skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (minimum)
• 5+ years of experience in Avionics System and Software Verification & Validation (V&V) required
• Experience in HSIT testing with test benches and simulators
• Strong C programming and debugging skills
• Knowledge of Flight Instrumentation systems
• Ability to analyze requirements to create test strategies
• Develop, review, and execute system/software test cases and procedures
• Familiarity with data transfer protocols ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, UART, SPI
• Hands-on DO-178B/C experience and SDLC
• Experience with verification tools such as RTRT
• Knowledge of testing TSOs/MOPs requirements and defect tracking processes
• Understanding system requirements and provide resolutions

Responsibilities

• Lead HSIT testing activities using test benches and simulators
• Develop and refine comprehensive test strategies from requirements
• Create, review, and execute detailed test cases and procedures
• Validate data transfer using ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, UART, SPI
• Ensure DO-178B/C conformity across test activities
• Utilize RTRT and other verification tools for results
• Work with defect tracking and PR management processes
• Analyze system requirements and propose resolutions to issues

• Strong programming knowledge in C with excellent debugging skills.

• Proven ability to analyze system and software requirements to create comprehensive test strategies.
• Expertise in developing, reviewing, and executing system/software test cases and procedures.
• Experience in data transfer protocols such as ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, UART, and SPI.
• Hands-on experience with DO-178B/C standards and Software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience using verification tools such as RTRT.
• Skilled in testing of TSO/MOPs requirements and create test plan and test results.
• Understanding the system requirements and technical challenges and provides the resolution.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and Problem Report (PR) management processes.
