Job summary

Leidos Defense seeks an Avionics Test Team Lead in Huntsville to drive test planning, execution, and verification across multiple programs. You will coordinate with customers, contractors, and OEMs to ensure rigorous testing and on-time delivery of system solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with hardware and software test activities, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel for test events. US citizenship and security clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years with MS in a related field
• Knowledge of defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes
• Experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures
• Hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting, and testing
• Willingness to relocate to Huntsville, AL and eligibility for US citizenship and security clearance
• Ability to travel up to 4 weeks per year

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customer and contractors to execute program requirements
• Create, modify, and execute test plans to satisfy program requirements
• Complete requirements verification and validation documentation and reports
• Coordinate test personnel and equipment across multiple events
• Work with OEMs and internal manufacturing to bring products to market
• Brief internal and external stakeholders on test results and data
