Job summary

Leidos Defense, Integration and Test Team in Huntsville, AL seeks an Avionics Test Team Lead to direct verification activities for complex defense systems. You will craft and run test plans, coordinate resources, and deliver validation reports across multiple events with OEMs and manufacturing partners.

The role requires hands-on hardware/software testing experience, strong collaboration with customers, and readiness to travel for events.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or equivalent ABET degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or MS with 6+ years.
Experience with defense or commercial test practices and processes.
Experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
Hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration and testing.
Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville area.
US Citizenship and active secret clearance.
Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks per year).

Responsibilities

Working directly with the customer and contractors to execute program requirements.
Creating, modifying, and executing test plans to satisfy program requirements.
Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
Coordinating test personnel and equipment across multiple events.
Work directly with OEM’s and internal MFG to reliably get product to market.
Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.
