Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Aviation Software Test Engineer to join our Defense Group in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on automated testing, test infrastructure, and software qualification for tactical strike, sensors, CUAS, and UAS solutions.

You will work in an agile environment creating automated tests, scripts, and test methods for software products across Linux and Windows, ensuring quality and reliability for mission-critical systems. US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent with GPA ≥ 3.0.
• 2+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Proficiency in C#, Python, or Java for software development or test scripting.
• Experience with manual and automated test tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in test planning, strategy, design, and execution within an agile software team.
• Review, edit, and generate documents for engineering and testing purposes per standards.
• Develop automated scripts for Linux/Windows applications.
• Contribute to software quality through testing and collaboration with the team.
