Job summary

Western Aircraft in Boise, ID is seeking an Experienced Avionics Technician to install, troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems in a FAA-compliant environment. You will use test equipment and hand tools to return aircraft to service per manufacturer specifications.

The role requires a minimum of four years' experience with avionics modifications and installations on corporate or similar airframes, plus the ability to obtain an airport badge.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years' experience in avionics modifications and installations on corporate / business aircraft or similar airframes.
• Owns basic hand tools to complete work (list will be provided).
• FCC Certification is preferred.
• Airframe certification preferred.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge.

Responsibilities

• Completes routine avionics installations and repairs on general aviation aircraft
• Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
• Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
• Continually keeps clean and organized work area including personal tool box
• Meets or beats flat rates for assigned tasks
• Understands and follows safety procedures, and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
• Responsible for completing training syllabus for advancement to next level
• Performs other duties as directed
