Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer to help design, develop, implement, and advance the Next-Generation Aircraft Weather Radar and related Integrated Avionics technologies.

You will work within the CN&S organization on critical safety and performance-critical radar systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth integration across aircraft platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in Avionics, Radar or Aerospace.
  • Proficiency in system-level analysis and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Aircraft Integration: collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate weather radar systems into Flight Test aircrafts.
  • Flight Test Execution: design and oversee flight test plans to validate radar performance.
  • Analyze flight data to identify performance issues and ensure requirements are met prior to certification.
  • Model-Based Systems Design and Development (MSBE).
  • Collaborate with systems, software, hardware and test engineers to understand customer requirements and provide solutions.
  • Author high-level systems requirements in DOORs and perform system-level analysis and optimization.
  • Utilize MATLAB-based simulation tools and ensure seamless systems integration; perform validation and verification.
