Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix seeks an Advanced Systems Engineer in the CN&S organization to drive design, development, and advancement of next-generation Aircraft Weather Radar and integrated avionics. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into system solutions for safe, reliable flight operations.

Responsibilities include aircraft integration, flight test planning, data analysis, model-based systems development, and system-wide validation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in the Avionics, Radar, Aerospace or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Aircraft Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Flight Operations, to ensure seamless integration of our weather radar systems into our Flight Test aircrafts focusing on software versions and performance parameter configurations, while adhering to regulatory and safety standards.
  • Flight Test Execution: Design and oversee the execution of flight test plans to validate the performance and functionality of our weather radar systems under real-world scenarios.
  • Analyze flight data to identify potential performance issues and ensure that all system requirements are met prior to certification.
  • Model-Based Systems Design and Development (MSBE)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of systems, software, hardware and test engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions
  • Author high-level systems requirements in DOORs
  • Conduct system-level analysis and optimization
  • Utilize MATLAB-based simulation tools
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
  • Systems integration, validation, & verification
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
