Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics PCB Librarian within the ACE PCB design team. You will apply your expertise in digital, analog, mixed-signal, high-speed, RF and high-power PCB design to develop and maintain our company-wide eCAD parts library for aerospace applications.

You will design and layout PCB blocks, work with Altium Designer, and ensure compliance with IPC standards while collaborating with mechanical, electrical, firmware and software engineers to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and maintaining PCB libraries (symbols/footprints).
• Aerospace/defense PCB layout experience preferred.
• Proficient in Altium Designer Pro/365/Enterprise.
• Knowledge of IPC-6012 Class 3 and IPC-7352.
• Experience with HDI boards and fine-pitch BGAs.
• Experience with high-speed, high-power board design and SI constraints.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and communicate effectively.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain corporate eCAD component libraries ( footprints, symbols ).
• Design layout blocks for high-performance aerospace PCBs.
• Create PCB layout files from schematics using Altium Designer.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot PCB layout issues and support design reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers on PCB library and layout best practices.
